I never assume anyone’s going to enjoy the work — it always comes as a pleasant surprise when it happens! *g* Of course you’re right when you say this isn’t a stand alone novel. It’s the first act in a play (I always structure my epic fantasy like this) which means much is introduced/set into motion, and very little is resolved. It works for some people, doesn’t work for others. Either way, I appreciate very much the time you took to read and comment.
